
A dysregulated nervous system habituates maladaptive behaviors intended to relieve stress but that are temporary and disruptive and contribute to problems as they do not address and mitigate underlying causes of a pattern of manifestations that are extreme.

binging of any kind (alcohol, drugs, shopping, working, etc.)
bottling and hiding feelings resulting to deceit and deception
fantasizing
isolation
self-harm
withdrawal (emotional, financial, physical, psychological, social, verbal)
