HOW DO YOU GREET THE DAY ?

When you open your eyes, what is in your mind ?

Whatever it is, it sets your day.

What are the deliberate internal and external elements you can provide at this very impressionable time for an optimal outcome ?

Are all electronics elsewhere ?

Is the temperature more cool than warm ?

Do you have blackout drapes ?

Do you wear a weighted eye mask ?

Is there an air-purifying plant ? (areca palm, english ivy, peace lily, philodendron, rubber)

Do you have your journal or paper and pen next to where you sleep to jot notes before bedtime and when you wake ?

Before your feet touch the floor, do a quick body scan.

How are you feeling ?

Are you tense and/or tight ? Where ?

What emotion and/or mood are you feeling ?

Turn your head to the right. Turn your head to the left. Rate your ability to extend as far as comfortably possible on a scale of 0-10. Using your right hand to massage and uncurl your left ear from top to bottom and then your left hand to massage and uncurl your right ear from top to bottom, turn your head again to the right and left. Is there any improvement in your range of motion ?

Do tiny figure eights in front of your eyes.

Stand, feet shoulder-width apart, do figure eights starting at the crown of your head moving downward to your face, shoulders, chest, navel, hips, thighs, knees, and feet. Raise your body sweeping your arms up to do figure eights over your head.

What thoughts do you now want to plant ?

Examples:

I am able to set boundaries that serve me.

I am capable.

I am grateful.

I am my own best friend.

I am the change I want to see.

I am wise.

Repeat these affirmations throughout the day.

At bedtime, consider their impact.
